I first became interested in Radio when I was 18. Starting off on CB Radio, which gave me the Dxing bug. I then decided to take the RAE to move onto Amateur Radio. I successfully passed with credit in 1982 and began SSB DXing on 144Mhz with my first Callsign G6TUR.
The 2M band was a new and exciting experience from the CB band, but I missed the world wide DX chasing, so I quickly got into practising Morse Code for the elusive 'A' licence. I passed the Morse exam in 1983 and was soon back on HF, DXing around the world on 28Mhz (10M).
12+ years later, 50Mhz!! The 'Magic' Band. Totally hooked! Spend most of my radio time chasing the world wide DX on 6M, and now the 4M band as well. I am active on 6M daily while also taking time to chase DX on 10M, 4M, 2M and now 70cms as well.
